Collingwood Sign Wells To Launch All-Out Assault On Top 10

Describing it as the final piece of a very complex puzzle, Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has lauded the class and experience of new recruit Daniel Wells and declared the club was now setup for an all-out assault on the competition’s top ten teams.

“With the age profile of our current list and where we finished this season, we felt that recruiting an injury-prone veteran for a year or two would drive us back up the ladder to where we belong, among the top ten teams,” said Buckley.

The former Kangaroo moved from Arden St to the Holden Centre on Tuesday aboard a padded truck while wrapped head-to-toe in 16 meters of bubble wrap to reduce the risk of an injury during transit. He leaves North Melbourne after 243 games, two best and fairest awards and a club record 12,167 torn muscle fibers.
