AFLX fans have been left fuming this morning, as the league’s official ticketing merchandiser experienced a full-blown meltdown after dozens of punters scrambled to secure seats to the prestigious preseason competition later this month.
Fans eagerly anticipating the shortened version of Australia’s indigenous game were left frustrated and angry when visiting the Ticketek website on Thursday, after being met with error messages that their credit cards had been blocked with even those who barracked for teams other than Collingwood reportedly affected by the issue.
“This is horse shit,” said one Richmond fan. “Was dead keen to see a real-life Gatorade Game Changer in the flesh at Marvel Stadium, but guess I’ll have to make do with some highlights, thanks to Bunnings Warehouse and BetEasy, please gamble responsibly.”
Ticketek has since issued an apology to would-be customers, imploring them to remain patient while they upgrade their servers for the 2030 season.
